Songs from the heart
Hi, I’m Amanda. I have been singing for as long as I can remember and have followed in my father’s songwriting footsteps as young as three years old. They often joke about me singing an “Amanda original” called, “Why, Oh Why” in the backseat of our car. In case you were wondering, that is the only lyric… a half hour of that to be exact!
I’m married to Brandon McDaniel (aka the “cute” brother) and we have four beautiful children, Andie, Brendan, Alexander and Janie. I am so excited to be part of Matchless Grace and can’t wait to see where God takes us on this journey.
A: July 5
Q: Who do you look up to or who inspires you?
A: I have been blessed with many role models in my life. One of my dearest was my Aunt Wanda. She always gave every ounce of her time, energy and heart to everything she did for God. No matter what she went through, her faith was never shaken.
Q: Favorite Bible Scripture:
A: I have several but one that my parents wrote in a Bible they gave me when I graduated is Proverbs 3; 5-6, which also goes along with one of my favorite songs I sing with my youth group, “Trust In The Lord”.
Q: Favorite Food & Drink
A: Any food, I’ve only come across two foods I don’t like and that’s broccoli and rice. My favorite drink is Tim Horton’s Vanilla Ice Coffee with Triple Triple and when I’m really tired I add a shot of espresso!
Q: Favorite Color
A: Blue of any hue
Q: Favorite Song
A: For me choosing a favorite song is like choosing which room I like to breathe in. You can’t just pick one!
Q: Favorite Southern Gospel Group
A: The Talley’s – They are my go to group
Q: Favorite Childhood Memory
A: I have been blessed with so many good memories with family and our church family, which is mostly our family, too. However, if I had to choose a favorite thing of my childhood I would have to say not paying bills and getting to take naps!
Q: What do you listen to when diving?
A: Usually some type of talking Disney animal
Q: Who would you most like to meet?
A: Mary, the mother of Jesus. As a mother, we have dreams and aspirations of who are children will be when they grow up. Can you imagine being Mary, knowing He was the Son of God and witnessing all the milestones and miracles in His life?
Q: What is something about you that most people wouldn’t know?
A: I really like to plan things; weddings, parties, travel, etc… I guess I live vicariously through others.
Q: What are some of your hobbies?
A: I love to read, but I rarely have time. I love crafting and teaching kids, my favorite hobby is hunting… for a great deal. It could take months to plan and prepare for the big sales but the payoff is worth it!
